Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday sanctioned Rs 16.60 crore for 68 panchayats in three blocks of three districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana at the block level.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik sanctioned the amount for 676 projects after interacting with the block representatives through video conferencing at the State Secretariat here.
Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 6.25 crore has been earmarked for 302 projects in 25 panchayats of Nilgiri block in Balasore district, Rs 4.85 crore for 152 projects in 21 panchayats of Kankadahada block in Dhenkanal district and Rs 5.50 crore for 222 projects in 22 panchayats of the Bhandaripokhari block in Bhadrak district.
The chief minister advised the people and the block representatives to ensure quality work and timely completion of the projects.
This is for the seventh time that the state government has sanctioned the projects under the scheme at the block level which had begun on May 23.
Among others, chief secretary, development commissioner, principal secretary, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water and senior officials of the concerned departments were present.
