Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government on Friday raised the monthly remuneration of contract doctors.
According to a notification by the Health and Family Welfare Department, the monthly remuneration of the Assistant Surgeon and Specialist doctor will be Rs 55,000 and Rs 60,000 respectively.
Besides, the annual increment of the remuneration of these contract doctors will be hiked at the rate of 3 percent every year, the notification added.
The proposal of the Health and Family Welfare Department for a hike in the remuneration of the contract doctors was approved by the Finance Department.
