Odisha Govt Increases Gratuity Limit Of Its Regular Employees

Bhubaneswar: Respecting the demand of its employees, the Odisha government has announced its decision to increase the gratuity after retirement.

A statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) on Tuesday said the death-cum-retirement gratuity limit of all its regular employees has been increased from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.

The hike in gratuity limit of the government employees will come into effect retrospectively from January 1, 2024, the statement sated.

Earlier, several associations of government employees had sought hike in the ceiling limit of the DCRG.

It may be noted that the Central Government had earlier announced increase in the DCRG from the same date.
