Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has launched an investigation into allegations of irregularities in the use of District Mineral Foundation (DMF) funds in the state.
Sharing this information, Mines Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena told media that a probe bas already been initiated following allegations that DMF funds have been misappropriated in the state.
Asserting that the state government will strictly stick to the policy of zero-tolerance towards corruption, the Minister said the aim is to ensure complete transparency and prevent financial irregularity in any form, particularly in dealing with DMF funds.
Stating that there have been allegations of misuse of DMF funds in several districts, he said eth whole issue is being thoroughly verified and appropriate steps will be taken based on the findings.
The Minister said that government is not tolerate any form of corruption in any sphere. Misuse of public money will not be allowed anywhere and the government is in action mode to prevent financial irregularities, he added.
