Odisha Govt Invites Applications For Free Residential UPSC Coaching Programme; Check Details



Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government’ has rolled out a Free Residential UPSC Civil Services Coaching Programme for the 2026–27 academic session with an aim to support 200 aspirants from the state.

The Higher Education Department has invited applications from aspirants. Online applications for the programme will open on June 8, officials said on Sunday.

The initiative seeks to provide structured coaching and residential support to selected candidates preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination, including both Preliminary and Main stages.

As per the official notification, the selected candidates will undergo eleven months of intensive training in General Studies and optional subjects


prescribed under the UPSC syllabus. The programme aims to equip aspirants with comprehensive academic guidance and exam-oriented preparation.

A key feature of the scheme is its fully residential nature. The state government will bear the cost of accommodation and meals, allowing candidates to focus entirely on their preparation without financial stress.

Admission to the programme will be conducted through a pre-qualifying entrance examination scheduled for June 28, 2026. Eligible candidates, who must be domiciles of Odisha, can apply online through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal. An application fee of Rs 100 will be charged during registration.

The application window will remain open from June 8, at 11 AM to 11.45 PM of June 19. Applicants will be allowed to edit their submitted forms on June 20, while admit cards will be made available from June 24 through the HIMS and SAMS portals.

The provisional answer key will be released on June 29, with candidates permitted to raise objections on July 2 and July 3. The revised answer key will be published on July 8.

The schedule for the publication of the final selection list, document verification, admission process, and commencement of coaching classes will be announced later.
