Bhubaneswar: The state government on Thursday issued an advisory to its offices to follow after some employees in the Lokaseva Bhawan tested COVID-19 positive.
Stating that the advisory has been drawn up in consultation with the Health and Family Welfare department, the General Administration and Public Grievance department in a letter stated that the government offices have to follow it if a COVID-19 positive case is reported in any government office.
As per the advisory, the affected person should be sent to home isolation or COVID treatment facility and contact tracing launched. The workplace should be disinfected as per the guidelines.
If one or two cases are reported, the places and areas visited by the person in the last 48 hours should be closed. The work can resume after the disinfection.
In case of a large outbreak, the entire building has to be closed for 48 hours after thorough disinfection. All the staff will work from home, till the building is declared fit for reoccupation.
The use of face mask, frequent hand washing and social distancing should be rigorously followed.
The Head of Office and COVID Compliance Officer will be responsible for implementation of the guidelines, the advisory stated.
