Bhubaneswar: In a fresh warning to the people driving under the influence of alcohol, the State Transport Authority (STA) has stated that it will lead to suspension of driving licence.
In a notification, the STA stated that the enforcement officers will suspend driving licence for three months of the person, if found resorting to drunken driving. The same penalty will be applicable in case of violation of traffic rules.
The authority advised the drivers against committing offences like jumping red light, using mobile phone while driving and carrying overload or passenger in goods vehicle as per the directions of the Supreme Court Committee on road safety.
