Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday issued a toll-free number for Subhadra Yojana, a flagship scheme for the welfare of the women between 21 and 60 years of age.
The Women and Child Development (W&CD) department has issued the toll-free number (14678) before rolling out the scheme in the state. Beneficiaries can get details on Subhadra Yojana by calling on the number between 6 am and 10 pm.
The state government is all set to launch the Subhadra Yojana aimed at empowering women financially. More than one crore eligible women of 21-60 years age group, under BPL category would get Rs 10,000 in a year for five years under the scheme.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Odisha and unveil Subhadra Yojana in Puri on September 17 on his birthday, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan informed earlier this week.
