Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday declared July 8 a holiday for banks, banking institutions, all state government offices and Revenue and Magisterial Courts (Executive) on account of Rath Yatra.
The Revenue and Disaster Management Department has issued separate notifications in this regard.
“On the occasion of Rath Yatra, the Government of Odisha have been pleased to declare that all State Government Offices, as well as Revenue and Magisterial Courts (Executive) shall remain closed on 08.07.2024 (Monday) i.e. the day following the Rath Yatra,” the notification read.
Similarly, all the banks and banking institutions will also remain closed on July 8 on the account of Rath Yatra.
Notably, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had on Tuesday announced July 8 (Monday) will also be a holiday on account of Rath Yatra.
