Bhubaneswar: The state government on Saturday announced that all its departments and sub-ordinate offices in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack will function with 75% strength of employees during December.
A notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance department stated that the departments/heads of offices in the twin cities will decide the manner of selection of employees who will attend office. The offices will remain closed on Saturdays.
However, the essential offices/services such as SRC and OSDMA, Police, Fire, Health, Municipality will function in total strength. Besides, the officials associated with functioning of the Assembly will attend office on all days in view of the ongoing winter session.
The employees, who have been provided with VPN, will work from home if they are not assigned roster duty but shall not leave headquarters without permission. They must be available to attend to office at short notice and be available on telephone all times.
All the departments have been told to take precautionary measures issued by the Department to prevent spread of COVID 19 and enforce that the employees strictly follow the guidelines. In case of detection of any COVID infection among the employees, it will follow the protocol issued by the government.
