Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the admission in government and private colleges in Odisha for 2020-21 academic session, the state government has directed the principals to ensure collection of equal fee for regular subjects.
In a letter, Higher Education secretary Saswat Mishra said two types of fee are collected for regular subjects at present. It has been found that after the admission in the regular subjects, the fee for admission in the surplus seats is collected on self-financing mode.
Henceforth, there will be no collection of fee on self-financing mode and there will be no admission in the name of self-financing, Mishra said.
However, he said that the regular subjects taught on self-financing will continue as usual.
