Bhubaneswar: Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Jena has asked the DGP, Collectors and Municipal Commissioners to strictly enforce social distancing norms and ensure that people wear masks and do not spit in public places.
Stating that the norms are not being adhered to, he directed the authorities to prosecute violators as per law.
“It has been observed that general public are not following the prescribed social distancing norms and are not wearing masks and spitting in public places. This is a violation of government orders and such instances are liable for prosecution as per law,” the SCR wrote on Wednesday.
Jena further said that these guidelines are also not being followed in marriages and other allowed social functions.
