Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Thursday asked all scheduled and cooperative banks to operate in working hours and extend customer services.
In a letter, the Finance Department stated that in view of relaxation during lockdown 4.0, the banks can operate in normal hours along with banking transactions. It asked the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) convener of the UCO Bank to intimate all scheduled and cooperative banks to function with full staff during the usual working time from 10 am to 4 pm.
Apart from this, all banking correspondents (BCs) and the customer service points (CSP) have been asked to function from 7 am to 6.30 pm for the benefit of rural customers, the letter stated.
