Bhubaneswar: In order to promote awareness about wildlife and bio-diversity among school students, Odisha government organised a workshop in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
Around 400 students from government and schools and Odisha Iconic Model School at Andharua in Bhubaneswar participated in the workshop, organised by School and Mass Education department.
Wildlife photographer of international fame and mountaineer Dhritiman Mukherjee narrated his experience about bio-diversity of the nature during his photography career. He explained to the students how different species are sustaining in different places and caves around the world where sunlight cannot penetrate.
He also showed the marine species including snakes, fish, plants and micro organisms living in deep sea through the photographs taken by him. He told the students about their responsibility towards nature and the plants and animals living in it.
Mukherjee also clarified the doubts of the students about nature and wildlife during a question-answer session in the workshop.
Besides the students, the officials of the School and Mass Education department also attended the workshop.
