Odisha Govt Plans Action Against Non-Recognised Private Schools

Bhubaneswar: Following reports of functioning of some private schools without obtaining the certificate of recognition (COR), the state government has reminded the District Education Officers (DEOs) to initiate action against them without further delay.

In a letter to the DEOs, the Directorate of Elementary Education has said though they were earlier directed to issue the draft show cause notice and take appropriate action against the private schools running without COR and submit a report, the Directorate is yet to receive any report till date.

The Directorate has instructed the DEOs to personally look into the matter and submit the action taken report (ATR) in this regard within 15 days positively.
