Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has decided to recruit 10,000 more junior teacher (schematic) to fill up the vacancies in schools across the state.
According to sources, the School and Mass Education department plans to fill up the vacancies of teacher posts in primary and upper primary schools through the new recruitment.
The department will start the recruitment process after the ongoing recruitment of 20,000 junior teachers (schematic) is completed. The department has planned to put several measures in place to ensure fair and transparent process of selection of the candidates for the teacher posts, the sources said.
It may be noted that the Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) initiated the application process for the recruitment of junior teachers in September, 2023. The applicants were asked to apply on the official website www.osepa.odisha.gov.in.
The selection process, which is still going on, involved a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The candidates, who will qualify in the test, will be appointed as junior teachers in monthly salary of Rs 25,000 to Rs 35,400.
