Bhubaneswar: Even as the state government has relaxed the night curfew to enable the people to go for Raja shopping, it has appealed to take adequate precautions in the light of the spread of coronavirus.
In his press briefing, Odisha Government’s Spokesman on COVID-19 Management Subroto Bagchi said since the people will throng the markets for Raja shopping, they need to be aware that crowded enclosures are conducive for the spread of the coronavirus. Hence, they should avoid such situations, he advised.
“The shopkeepers should wear masks and ask customers to use hand sanitizer while entering. The employees of cloth stores should wear hand gloves while displaying items. The customers should also avoid making cash payment and use digital platforms,” Bagchi said.
Earlier, the Special Relief Commissioner’s (SRC) office tweeted that night curfew on June 12 will be effected from 10 pm instead of 7 pm.
