Bhubaneswar: As part of the Mo Sarkar programmes, the Odisha government has prepared a three-month blueprint for the district tour of the department secretaries to oversee the implementation of the ongoing welfare programmes.
According to official sources, seven senior IAS officers have been shortlisted for the district tour in the first phase. The district tour of the following officers beginning from January is as follows:
PK Mohapatra-Dhenkanal
PK Jena- Kalahandi
Mona Sharma-Sambalpur
Sanjib Chopra-Kandhamal
Anu Garg-Rayagada
Sourabh Garg-Mayurbhanj
DK Singh-Keonjhar
These officers will oversee the status of the ongoing welfare schemes under Mamata Yojana, Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana, minor irrigation projects, Mission Shakti, Niramaya, Food Security scheme, drinking water, rural electrification and Mid-day Meal programme.
After the district tour, the officers will review the programmes in their respective districts and submit a report to the Planning and Convergence department within a week. On the basis of report, the state government will take follow-up action.
It has been decided that 19 more secretaries will also embark on district tour in the subsequent phase.
