Bhubaneswar: In further relaxation of the COVID-19 restrictions, the Odisha Government on Saturday issued fresh guidelines that will remain in force till February-end.
Raising the cap on the number of 200 persons to attend marriage function, the new guidelines allow maximum 500 persons.
As per the notification issued by the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC), social, religious, political, sports, entertainment, academic and cultural functions and gatherings are allowed with a ceiling of 500 persons.
Like before, wearing of mask, maintain social distancing and thermal screening are compulsory in all gatherings. The programmes can be held with 50 per cent capacity of total seats in indoor halls, said the sources.
The Collector and local authority can decide the containment zone, as per the guidelines, issued by the Centre.
The Anganwadi centres in the state will start functioning from February 1, the guidelines stated.
