Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Thursday reinstated OAS officer Deba Prasad Das, almost six years after his suspension as a part of departmental disciplinary action.
“… is reinstated in service from date of his joining, with the condition that he will not violate the provisions of Odisha Government Servants’ Conduct Rules, 1959, in future,” the official notification issued by General Administration and Public Grievance department said.
It added that he will be posted as joint secretary with Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department.
Das was placed under suspension on May 28, 2018, when he working as a joint secretary at Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) department. He was then asked to stay in his headquarters, Cuttack.
