Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has relaxed the eligibility criteria for promotion of police sub-inspectors (SIs) to the rank of inspectors.
The SIs with 7 years of continuous service will now be eligible for the promotion.
“After careful consideration of the proposal of State Police Headquarters, Odisha, Cuttack, the Government is pleased to relax the eligibility criteria from 10 to 7 years of continuous service as on 01.01.2024 rendered in the rank of sub-inspector of police, after passing the the SIs course of training, for consideration of their promotion to the rank of inspector of police,” read the Home Department notification.
