Odisha Govt Relaxes Night Curfew Ahead Of Raja Festival

Girls are playing with swings on the eve of three days long 'Raja Festival' - a festival of unmarried girls in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. During the three days women are given a break from household work and time to play swings and indoor games.Girls decorate themselves with new fashion or traditional Saree Generally various Pithas (traditional sweets) are made of which Podopitha,and Chakuli Pitha are main. Girls play swings tied on tree branches whereas aged ladies play Cards and Ludo.



Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the three-day Raja Festival beginning from June 14, the Odisha government on Thursday relaxed the night curfew to enable the people to do their pre-festival shopping.

The Special Relief Commissioner’s (SRC) office tweeted that night curfew on June 12 will be effected from 10 pm instead of 7 pm.

However, the other restrictions relating to COVID-19 guidelines shall remain unchanged, it added.
