Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has released the lists of holidays and optional holidays for its employees in the calendar year 2024.
The Revenue and Disaster Management department, in a notification on Tuesday, said the state government offices as well as the Revenue and Magisterial Courts (Executive) will remain closed on the festive and commemorative occasion listed in Annexure-I during 2024.
“In addition to the holidays listed in Annexure-I, the government employees will be allowed to avail one holiday as per their option on any one of the festive occasion and commemorative days listed in Annexure-II irrespective of their religious affiliation/denomination with written permission of the authority, competent to sanction casual leave,” the department said.
Since the festive and commemorative days listed in Annexure-III fall on Sundays, those days have not been specifically declared as holidays, it added.
