Odisha Govt Restructures Homeopathic & Ayurvedic Service Cadres With Pay Revision

Bhubaneswar: In a significant step to attract and retain quality manpower for the smooth delivery of health services, the state government restructured the Odisha Homeopathic Medical Service (OHMS) cadre with corresponding pay revision in the cadre.

As per the revised structure, the total cadre strength was enhanced to 630 with 399 posts at base level.

Health and Family Welfare Secretary Shalini Pandit in a notification stated that there would be 196 posts at the first promotional hierarchy in the pay matrix of level-12 under ORSP Rules. The number of the posts of Deputy Director in the pay level – 13, would be enhanced to 2 for opening more promotional opportunity in the cadre.

The fourth promotional hierarchy in the cadre would be the post of Joint Director in the pay level – 14. The revised cadre would include: Joint director – 01; Deputy director – 02; DHMO/Dy. Supdt /CMO – 32; and, Sr.HMO – 399.

The officers in OHMS cadre have welcomed this resolution, and thanked the state government for the move.

In another major step towards attracting and retaining quality Ayurvedic doctors in delivery of health services, the state government restructured Odisha Ayurvedic medical service (OAMS) cadre with corresponding pay revision in the cadre. As per the revised structure, the total cadre strength was enhanced to 728 with 462 posts at the base level.

In a notification, the Health Secretary mentioned that there would be 228 posts at the first promotional hierarchy in the pay matrix of level-12 under ORSP Rules. There would be 35 posts at the 2nd promotional hierarchy in the pay matrix of Level-12 under ORSP Rules. The number of Deputy Directors in the pay level-13 would be enhanced to 2.

The fourth promotional hierarchy in the cadre would be the post of Joint Director in the pay level – 14. The revised cadre would include: Joint director – 01 ; Deputy director – 02 ; DAMO / Dy. Superintendent /CMO – 35 ; Sr. AMO – 228; and, AMO-462. The officers in OHMS cadre Homeowelcome this resolution, and thanked State Government for the move.
