Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday revised monthly consolidated remuneration for contractual and outsourced employees.
As a Diwali gift, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on November 3 had announced a 25 per cent hike in remuneration for the outsourced and contractual employees engaged by the state government.
The hike would benefit 33,000 employees and cost Rs 100 crore for the state exchequer annually, a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office said.
The parent organisations of these employees have also been asked to allow them to avail of 12 days leave per year, it added.
