Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Thursday revoked the suspension of ex-Collector, Jharsuguda, Jyoti Ranjan Pradhan and posted him as District Magistrate (DM), Bargarh.
He was suspended on August 13 for scrapping licence of a liquor shop by defying a Orissa High Court’s ruling.
According to the General Administration and Public Grievance Department notification, Saroj Kumar Samal, MD of Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd, has been posted as Collector and DM, Jharsuguda.
ADM Pradip Sahu was holding additional charge as collector of the district after Pradhan was suspended.
lndramani Tripathy, Bargarh Collector, will replace Samal.
Similarly, Commissioner (Consolidation), Bhubaneswar, Sarat Chandra Mishra has been posted as Special Secretary to Government, Labour & E.S.1 Department.
Other appointments are as follows:
1. Additional Commissioner (Additional Revision Court ) Banana Mohanty has been posted as Additional Secretary to Government. Agriculture and FE Department.
2. Nayagarh DRDA Santoshi Sahoo will take charge as Joint Secretary, Board of Revenue, Cuttack
3. Tahasildar, Rourkela, Biswaranjan Rath has been as APD (Admn), DRDA, Sundargarh. With this, his appointment as as APD (Admn), DRDA, Balangir stands cancelled, the notification added.
