Odisha Govt Rolls Out Module For Subhadra Yojana Grievance Redressal

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the first anniversary of Subhadra Yojana, the Odisha Government on Monday launched a dedicated grievance redressal module.

“Earlier, the Subhadra Yojana portal only allowed applicants to register complaints, but there was no mechanism for redressal. Through this module, grievances of Subhadra applicants, including 2.85 lakh women beneficiaries who have not received their third instalment of money, will be promptly investigated and resolved,” said Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, who also holds the Women and Child Development portfolio.

Elaborating further, she said that the eligibility of beneficiaries will first be scrutinised at the block level. “If necessary, the committee will forward the complaints for field-level verification. The eligibility of an applicant will be decided based on the committee’s report or field verification report. Subsequently, the block-level committee will send the verification report to the district-level scrutiny committee or municipal corporation-level scrutiny committee for final approval,” she said.

Status of complaints filed through the portal will be made available online for public access after being reviewed at the block and district levels, ensuring transparency, accountability, and timely resolution.

While reiterating that o eligible beneficiary will be deprived of Subhadra assistance, Parida described this launch as a “360-degree digital transformation” of scheme, covering scrutiny, grievance redressal, and payment under a single framework. “So, we can say Subhadra has taken a 360-degree turn today,” she added.

So far, 1,09,87,894 applications have been registered under the fund-transfer scheme of the government and over one crore women have already received three instalments of the financial assistance of Rs 5,000 each.
