Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has decided to make it mandatory for the state government-run schools to put up signboards and nameplates in Odia language.
It has also decided to maintain uniqueness in these boards and nameplates.
The guidelines are:
The state government has instructed all the government-run primary schools, upper primary schools, nodal upper primary schools and high schools to follow the guidelines.
The Mass and Education Department directed Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, Directorate of Secondary Education, Directorate of Elementary Education, OPEPA, and Odisha Madhyamik Shikshya Mission have also been asked to follow these instructions.
Earlier, the state government has also instructed use of Odia in government offices.
