Odisha Govt Sanctions Rs 10 Cr For Advocates Welfare Fund

Bhubaneswar: The state government has sanctioned an amount of Rs 10 crore to the Odisha Advocates Welfare Fund for the financial year 2024-25.

The state government in a communication to the Accountant General ((A & E) informed about the sanction of funds for the contribution made to the Odisha Advocates Welfare fund.

“I am directed to convey the sanction of the Governor to an expenditure of Rs. 100000000 (Ten Crore Only) as per the statement enclosed at Annexure-I for State Contribution to Advocates Welfare Fund, 2024-25 during the year 2024-2025,” the letter from the FA-cum-Special Secretary, Law, said.

The letter further stated that no diversion of funds from one primary unit to other shall be made without prior approval of Law Department.

Procedures and formalities should be strictly followed while incurring expenditure, it added.
