Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has sanctioned Rs 120 crore for construction of two Dharmasala-cum-Guest Houses near Homi Bhava Cancer Hospital and Research at Jatni in Khurda district.
In a release on Friday, the Health and Family Welfare department stated that the Works department in consultation with Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) will take up the construction work of the two structures.
The two buildings of Dharmshala-cum-Guest House will be set up on an area of about 2 lakh square feet near the cancer hospital and handed over to the TMC, Mumbai.
The government will also provide a fund of Rs 150 crore for construction of a building with latest facilities for treatment of children suffering from cancer near the hospital. Of the sanctioned fund, Rs 80 crore is meant for construction of the building and Rs 70 crore for the equipment. The amount will be paid to TMC, Mumbai, the release stated.
