Odisha Govt Sets November-End Deadline For Sudarpada-Jatni 4-Lane Road Project

Bhubaneswar: Works Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan has set November deadline for completion of the road project, connecting Sundarpada with Jatni.

The 13.5-km stretch is to be developed into a four-lane road to enhance traffic flow and connectivity.

While reviewing the project, Harichandan held discussions with departmental officials, the Chief Engineer, the contracting agency, and local residents on how to expedite the road construction. He stressed the need for a robust action plan to meet the deadline and address related concerns like drainage, sewage, and electricity that may arise during the road-widening process.

According to a government statement, the Sundarpada-Jatni road project is expected to greatly improve local infrastructure, supporting development and facilitating smoother transportation for residents and commuters. It further noted that advanced infrastructure and robust communication systems are essential with the state government aiming to build a developed Odisha by 2036.

Ekamra Bhubaneswar MLA Babu Singh and former minister Suresh Kumar Routray were present.
