Odisha Govt Shunts Senior IAS Officer Under CBI Scanner; Manoj Sahoo Appointed Special Secy To CM

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday shifted senior IAS officer Bishnupada Sethi, who is under CBI scanner in an alleged tender fixing and Rs 10 lakh bribery case, to General Administration department as OSD.

The 1995-batch officer was serving as principal secretary to state SC/ST, Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) and Odia Language, Literature and Culture departments.

Sanjeeb Mishra, a 1997-batch officer, will replace him as ST/SC secretary. He has also been assigned additional charge of principal secretary to Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) and Odia Language, Literature and Culture departments.

The official notification also mentioned about appointment of 2006-batch IAS officer Manoj Sahoo as Special Secretary to the Chief Minister.

Last month, the Centre had approved his inter-cadre deputation to Odisha for three years. Sahoo is an Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre IAS officer and was then serving as deputy election commissioner in EC office in Delhi.
