Bhubaneswar: In order to facilitate specialisation and super specialisation studies in homeopathy, Odisha government has simplified the provisions regarding sanction of study leave and payment of salary during the period for the doctors serving under Odisha Homeopathic Service (OHMS) cadre.
In a letter to all Chief District Medical & Public Health Officers (CDM&PHOs) in this regard on Saturday, Shalini Pandit, secretary, Health and Family Welfare department directed to allow the homeopathy doctors to draw their monthly salary without waiting for sanction of the study leave.
“The salary of the medical officers under OMHS cadre pursuing PG or Super Specialisation would be drawn by the relieving authority on receipt of absentee statement from the institutions where Medical Officer is currently pursuing PG/Super Specialisation every month without waiting for sanction of study leave,” she said.
Issuing a set of guidelines for the purpose, the secretary said the CDM & PHOs would keep undertaking and affidavit from the regular in-service doctors before drawl of the salary with regard to the following:
Further, Pandit clarified that medical officers who were pursuing PG/Super specialisation on the date of notification of Finance Department Memorandum No. 10235, dated March 31, 2023 would be eligible for drawal of salary for the remaining period of their PG/Super specialisation from April 1, 2023.
The newly recruited medical officers, who were already enrolled in PG/Super specialisation prior to their joining in OMHS cadre, have been instructed to submit requisite information to the respective CDM & PHOs or medical officers for creation of their HRMS ID and NPS ID for drawal of their salary in time.
