Odisha Govt Spent Rs 135.85 Cr In 17 Months For Promotion Of Welfare Schemes: CM Majhi

Bhubaneswar: A total of Rs 135.85 crore was spent on promotion and dissemination of various welfare schemes in the last 17 months, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, who holds the Information & Public Relations portfolio, told the Odisha Assembly on Thursday.

Over Rs 130.18 crore was spent on advertisements in print media, and Rs 5.6 crore in electronics media between April 1, 2024, and August 10, 2025.

He also listed out the media outlets, including newspapers, local and national channels, in response to a query by Congress MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati, who had sought information about printed and electronic media outlets through which the state government promoted and publicised various welfare schemes over the past three years.
