Bhubaneswar: School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Friday said that no decision has been taken yet for the reopening of schools in Odisha.
Earlier, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had announced that schools and colleges will remain closed till the puja vacation.
However, Dash told the media that the possibility of reopening of schools cannot be said right now and the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) will take a decision in this regard.
“The state government is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and a clear picture will emerge after the government announces fresh guidelines in a couple of days. The CMO will inform the date of reopening. My department is ready to implement the CM’s order in this regard,” the minister said.
