Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday suspended Bhupinder Singh, Additional Tahsildar of Khariar in Nuapada district, with the state’s Revenue and Disaster Management department initiating disciplinary proceedings against him.
Singh,
an Odisha Revenue Service (ORS) officer, faces action under Odisha Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1962.
The suspension order was issued after the department reviewed certain allegations against the officer.
Singh will remain under suspension pending further action. During this period, his headquarters will remain at the office of the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC), Northern Division, Sambalpur.
He cannot leave the headquarters without prior permission from competent authority.
As per the Odisha Service Code, he will receive subsistence allowance during the suspension period, the government clarified.
