Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has suspended Excise Superintendent of Kendrapada district Debi Prasad Mishra for dereliction of duty.
Mishra has been attached to the office of Deputy Commissioner, Excise, Sambalpur North division during his suspension. Official action would be taken against him after the report of departmental inquiry against him is submitted, said a release of Excise department on Friday.
Excise Commissioner Narsingh Bhol said the government took the step against Mishra on the basis of inquiry report of Joint Commissioner Ram Chandra Mishra into allegation of bribe against the Excise Suprintendent.
Besides, Kendrapada collector had also submitted a probe report to the government, Bhol added.
