Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government launched a series of regional workshops on business reforms on Saturday to enhance the ease of doing business (EDB). Officials from IPICOL, Directorate of Industries and experts took part at the inaugural event.
The workshops under “Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP)” are aimed to meet as many as 720 industries and their representatives at six industrial hubs – Angul, Bhubaneswar, Balasore, Berhampur, Sambalpur and Sundargarh.
Officials will meet the promoters on October 23 in Bhubaneswar. Around 144 industries with representatives from Khorda, Narayagarh, Puri, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur and Kendrapara will be sensitised on business reforms.
On October 31, 109 industries from Ganjam, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Koraput, Nawarangpur and Raygada districts are going to meet in Berhampur to address issues related to their business .
Similarly, 122 industries based in Sambalpur and its neighboring districts like Bargarh, Bolangir, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, and Sonepur will be meeting the senior officials on November 5.
As many as 89 industries operating in Sundargarh and nearby areas will be addressed by top officials from the industries department and IPICOL on November 6.
Then on November 8, as many as 141 industries from Balasore, Bhadrak and Mayurbhanj will meet in Balasore.
