Bhubaneswar: The State Cabinet on Friday approved a proposal of the Odisha government for installing LED street lights in all urban local bodies (ULBs).
Briefing mediapersons after the meeting, chief secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi said all manual lights will be replaced with LED lights at an estimated cost of Rs 250 crore.
The cabinet also approved the proposal for sanctioning Rs 220 crore for infrastructure development of Bhawanipatna Medical College and Hospital and Rs 117 crore for a new building of Sishu Bhawan in Cuttack, he added.
