Bhubaneswar: The state government will launch anti-addiction mission before Independence Day.
Revealing this, Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disability Minister Ashok Chandra Panda said the mission would be launched in all the districts of the state.
While Rs 20 lakh will be sanctioned for the state-level programme, each district will get Rs 10 lakh to implement the programme.
The state-level mission will be led by the secretary of the Social Security and Empowerment of persons with Disability department and the collectors will head the programme in their respective departments.
Initially, the mission will be launched in Cuttack, Malkangiri, Angul, Boudh, Deogarh, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Puri, Rayagada and Sambalpur districts.
