Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet on Wednesday approved the proposal of the Revenu
e and Disaster Management Department to lease government land measuring 40.197 acres in Keonjhar district to Dharanidhar University, Keonjhar, free of all charges.
The land, located in four mouzas – Suleikhamar, Satasingha, Gambharia and Bramhangaon – under Keonjhar Tehsil), will be used for establishing the university’s North and South campuses.
The cabinet decided to waive off non-recurring government dues amounting to Rs 140.71 crore and recurring dues amounting to Rs 50.26 lakh.
This decision is expected to reduce the financial burden on the university, a premier public educational institution in the state. The move will support the university’s growth and development, benefiting students and the region.
