Odisha Govt To Release 2nd Instalment Of ‘Subhadra’ Money For 1 Cr Women In March: CM

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will release the second instalment money under the Subhadra Yojana in March 2025, announced Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday.

Over one crore women beneficiaries across the state will get financial assistance with the disbursement of second instalment under the Subhadra Yojana, the Chief Minister said. All the beneficiaries are set to receive the second instalment in one go.

Similarly, one crore beneficiaries of the scheme will receive the first instalment money in the New Year in January 2025, Majhi said.

Notably, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida had earlier stated that the 4th phase money of the first instalment under the Subhadra Yojana is likely to be released in January 2025. Over 20 lakh beneficiaries will receive the money in the 4th phase.

The beneficiaries under the scheme, aimed at empowering women financially, will receive Rs 10,000 in their bank accounts in two instalments in a year. The money will be credited to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and International Women’s Day (March 8). They will get Rs 50,000 in five years under the scheme.
