Bhubaneswar: Bringing cheers for the beneficiaries of Subhadra Yojana, the Odisha government on Sunday announced that the second phase money of the first instalment will be released during Durga Puja festival on October 9.
Giving this information, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said all women applicants waiting for their first instalment of Rs 5,000 would receive the money in the second phase on October 9.
She said that the beneficiaries who were unable to receive the money in the first phase will get it on October 9 in the second phase of disbursement.
The phase II money of the first instalment will be released at Baripada in Mayurbhanj district, Parida said, adding the highest number of Subhadra beneficiaries are also from Baripada.
Stating that all those who can apply on or before October 7 will get the money on October 9, she said at least 40 lakh women will get the financial assistance during the second phase disbursement of the first instalment.

The Deputy CM further stated that the second instalment under the scheme will be given on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2025.
Stating that over 97 lakh women beneficiaries have already registered for the scheme, she said the first and the one croreth applicants will be felicitated by the government.
