Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the admission for the 2020-21 academic session, the Odisha government will seek opinion of all state-run universities and autonomous colleges in the state.
A high-level meeting presided over by the Higher Education secretary will be held on August 12 from 11 am to 1 pm via video conferencing.
The meeting will be attended by the PG Council chairmen, controller of examinations of the universities and the principals of autonomous colleges. They will attend the meeting from the OSWAS (Odisha Secretariat Workflow Automation System) Bhawan in their respective districts, officer-in-charge, Performance Tracking Cell of the Higher Education Department, Mihir Das said in a letter.
However, the authorities of Shree Jagannath Sanskruta Viswavidyalaya and the Odisha State Open University will skip the meeting.
Official sources said that the meeting will discuss the modalities of admission amid COVID-19 pandemic and review the conduct of semester examinations.
Apart from this, the meeting will also discuss the unitary PG entrance examinations and the steps taken by the Utkal, Berhampur and Sambalpur universities in this regard.
