Bhubaneswar: A day after the second coronavirus positive case was detected in Odisha, the government spokesperson on COVID-19 Subroto Bagchi on Friday told the media that the 19-year-old youth with travel history to the UK had come in contact with 46 persons.
While 43 among them have been traced, eight teams have been constituted to know the whereabouts of the remaining three, he added.
Responding to queries about reports of contacts from infected person inside AIIMS-Bhubaneswar, Bagchi said that the government was looking into the matter with utmost urgency at the highest possible level. “All concerned people have been kept under observation,” he added.
He said that the youth had returned to Bhubaneswar from the UK on March 18. He was kept in an isolation the following day and his health condition was stated to be stable.
As many as 129 persons had come in contact with the first patients, government sources had revealed.
