Odisha Govt Transfers Senior Health Officials; Pradeep Hota Appointed Director Of Public Health



Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government issued orders for transfer and appointment of senior health officials on Thursday.

Director of Public Health Nilakantha Mishra has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare Department. Dr Pradeep Hota, currently serving as Chief District Medical (CDM) and Public Health Officer (PHO) of Sambalpur, will succeed him.


Similarly, Dr Mahesh Mohan Panda, Jharsuguda CDM and PHO, has been appointed as Director of Health Services.

Dr Nilakkshi Sircar, posted at Puri district headquarters hospital, and Manoranjan Rout, Kendrapada CDM and PHO, have been appointed Director-cum-Ex-officio Special Secretary (Tech) in the Health and Family Welfare Department.

The notification further stated that Hota, Panda, Sircar and Rout in the rank of Senior Administrative Grade have been promoted to the rank of Super Time Pay Grade of Odisha Medical and Health Services cadre carrying the scale of Level-17 of Pay Matric of ORSP Rules, 2017.

The appointments made on adhoc basis for a period not extending one year or till receipt of the recommendation of the OPSC or till their retirement whichever is earlier, it added.
