Puri: A day after hotels in Bhubaneswar were allowed to open to accommodate flight crew members, Puri Hotel Association on Wednesday sought the permission of the Odisha government to resume business in the Pilgrim Town.
The association urged that they be allowed to operate for providing accommodation facilities to tourists, who would visit the town following resumption of train and flight services.
“We will follow all COVID-19 guidelines. This would benefit the pilgrims, tourists, hotel owners and staff,” said Puri Hotel Association President Ramkrushna Dasmohapatra.
The hotels have been closed due to the lockdown since mid-March in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak.
