Bhubaneswar: The education officers of 11 districts in Odisha are yet to provide detailed information and data regarding fake teachers in their respective jurisdictions to the state authorities.
As per information, the district education officers (DEOs) of Bhadrak, Balasore, Balangir, Deogarh, Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, Kalahandi, Kendrapada, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj and Sambalpur are yet to complied with the previous directives of the Directorate of Elementary Education in this regard.
The directorate had sought information on teachers who are working using fake certificates.
Directorate of Elementary Education has again sent fresh letter to the DEOs of these 11 districts to submit data on fake certificate cases.
Sources said the letter was issued by the Directorate on January 25 and they were asked to furnish the required data by January 30, 2024 (Tuesday).
The Directorate had on December 29 last year had asked the DEOs to submit the data.
“The data of your district have not been received till date. Due to incomplete data, the compliance affidavit could not be filled till now,” the letter said.
