Bhubaneswar/Nayagarh: A four-member Mo Sarkar team on Monday made a surprise visit to Nayagarh district headquarters hospital (DHH).
According to a CMO release, the team interacted with more than 60 patients and their attendants in different wards and counters at the hospital to assess various infrastructural facilities, diagnostic services and availability of medicines.
To observe the efficacy of Niramaya Medicine services, two members of the team stood in queue at the OPD and Niramaya counter and observed the doctor-patient interaction and medicine availability.
The team found that specialised services like dialysis, intensive childcare services and nutritional care had improved to the satisfaction of the patients, who were also aware of the Odisha government’s Mo Sarkar initiative and that the Chief Minister, cabinet colleagues and designated officers directly took feedback from people.
There was also an improved level of cleanliness, infrastructural facilities, improved and free diagnostic services and availability of medicines under Niramaya.
For the first time under the Mo Sarkar initiative, officers disguised as patients and found out the goings on, official sources said.
The team has submitted its feedback and appropriate action will be taken, sources added.
