Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Thursday said that barring two COVID-19 positive cases, no new positive cases have been reported so far.
“As on 12 noon on Thursday, 164 samples were sent for COVID-19 examination and reports of all the samples have tested negative. The two identified patients are asymptomatic and stable. They are taking a normal diet supplied by the respective hospitals,” chief spokesperson on COVID-19 Subroto Bagchi told the media here.
Stating that 55 persons who had come in contact with COVID-19 patients have been contacted, he said 100 monitoring teams including 10 teams in Bhubaneswar are working for the purpose across the state.
Bagchi also said that while 4249 persons have been registered through 104 Helpline and the government portal, 34 persons are in hospital isolation at present.
Referring to the action taken for violation of the regulations and guidelines related to COVID-19, he said 404 cases have been registered in the state during last 48 hours of which 380 have been registered for violation of lockdown, 10 cases for violation of home quarantine and 14 cases on other issues related to COVID-19.
